The academy programs offered by the league are an “add on” or a bonus for participating with a club in our league. The league sponsors this program to provide its members with a special level of play and competition otherwise unavailable to member clubs and players. As such these programs are under the league’s direction and supervision. The following is a list of policies and rules governing the CASA Academy Program:
.Players must be a member of a club participating in the Cleveland Alliance Soccer Association.
.Players must be currently active and in good standing with their present club.
.Should a player take a session off from their club, they also must take off the session from the academy program.
.Should a player transfer from one club to another they will not be eligible for the academy programs for one year.
.A player’s club activities are a priority over the academy program. The clubs and the academy coaches and directors are to maintain a good line of communication
.The league will direct, oversee and approve the academy schedule of events to coordinate and minimize conflicts in practices, games and tournaments. Prior to any announcement of academy activities to players/parents/managers the program directors must have gained league approval for such activities.
.Players and their families must meet their financial responsibilities to their clubs first before they proceed with academy participation.
.The Academy Program will provide member clubs with current lists of players participating during each session. Club directors are responsible for communicating directly to the academy programs any changes or problems with players involved in the academy program. If the club director brings any aforementioned problem (example-attendance, attitude, fees, etc.) to the attention of the Academy program director, the player may not be eligible to play or practice with the Academy program until the situation is rectified to the mutual agreement of both parties.
